The Endeavour SUV has been a popular product in India. In an attempt to boost Endeavour sales this festive season, the automaker has silently dropped Endeavour prices across its three Trend variants in the country. However, the prices of the Titanium variant remains unchanged. The fresh reduction in prices have come a month after the prices were hiked by about Rs 50,000 across all the Endeavour variants.
Ford has reduced prices across three Trend trims, except for the base 2.2 Trend 4x2 Manual variant. The Endeavour 2.2 Trend 4x4 Manual which was earlier priced at Rs 26. 6 lakh is now priced at 23.78 lakh, thereby bringing down the price by about Rs 2.82 lakh. The Endeavour 2.2 Trend 4x2 Automatic price has been reduced by about Rs 1.72 lakh and now costs Rs 23.78 lakh as against the older price of Rs 25.52 lakh. The Ford Endeavour 3.2 Trend 4x4 Automatic is now offered at 25.93 lakh as against the older price of Rs 27.66 lakh, thereby bringing down the price by about Rs 1.72 lakh (All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Ford Endeavour is a strong competitor to Toyota’s Fortuner in India. Ford’s muscular SUV is offered in two diesel engine options - a 2.2-litre engine which puts out 158bhp and 385Nm of torque, and a 3.2-litre diesel that puts out 197bhp and 470Nm of torque. The bigger engine only comes mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, while the smaller unit is offered in six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission options.
