The Ford Aspire compact sedan in the Titanium AT variant is now available with six airbags. Previously, the American automaker had only been offering the driver and passenger airbag as standard equipment for this variant. It has now added curtain and knee airbags as part of the equipment.
When Ford had launched the Aspire in 2015, it was offering the six airbag package only with the Titanium+ variants of which both the petrol and diesel models are manual only. It was also the first vehicle in this part of the market to offer six airbags as a part of the safety options.
A closer look at the feature list reveals the absence of ESP, hill launch assist and traction control for the AT variant. However, Ford states that their website is being updated and that the missing data could just be an error.
We believe that they have made the change in variant options based on consumer demand. However, the price of the Aspire has not changed and it is still priced at Rs 8.20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
