Force Motors has quietly introduced four new variants for its flagship One SUV via its official website. The line up now includes a base EX variant priced at Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) as well as a new top of the line LX variant that has been fitted with ABS, EBD and on the fly 4WD.
The base model gets an all-new BSIII compliant diesel engine that makes 82PS of power and 230Nm of torque. The model also does away with the synchromesh gearbox and dual flywheel for a simpler and cost-effective gearbox. Features like alloy wheels, leather seats and DRL’s have also been done away with in the EX model to bring down the price.
The SUV now gets SX and LX variants with six and seven seater options and come loaded with ABS and EBD as optional. The five-seat SX without ABS is priced at Rs 11.78 lakh, while ABS and EBD will add another Rs 28,000 to the total. Prices for the top spec LX model with 4WD has not been revealed yet but the extensive feature list the car will hold has been published on the official website.
These models are powered by the 2200 FM Tech BS IV turbocharged 2.2-litre engine that churns out 141PS power and 321Nm of torque. However, the highlight of the model is a new 4WD system with the capability of electronic on the fly switching between the drive systems. Strangely though, the LX will come only with the seven-seat option.
