A four-wheel-drive variant of the Force One was spotted testing, in India, with side facing jump seats in the third row. The current Force One has reclining and double folding front facing seats.
It has been quite a long time now that Force Motors has been testing the Force One 4×4 variant. The car has been sighted several times in our country with the ‘on-test’ badge. The images of the vehicle that was recently spotted suggest that the SUV will now come with this modification. The six- and seven-seater variants of the current Force One have front facing bench seats. This change might mean that the Force One can now seat four passengers at the back.
The spy photographers at Cartoq say that the test mule is a BS3 variant. The absence of alloy wheels also suggests that it might be the EX variant which the company launched last year as an entry-level offering. The vehicle is powered by a four-cylinder 2.6-litre turbo diesel engine that churns out 82bhp and 230Nm of torque. This mill is mated to a five-speed manual transmission with power sent to the rear wheels. The company might plonk in the four-wheel-drive power-train in this variant.
The Force One 4X4 variant might be launched with ABS as a standard fitment. Force Motors might also price the four-wheel-drive version Rs 60,000 to Rs 70,000 more than the outgoing rear-wheel-drive car. We hope that the company brings the vehicle soon..The introduction of this variant might help the company to increase their sales but competition like the Mahindra XUV500, Tata Safari are doing much better.
