The 2017 edition of the Force Gurkha Rain Forest Challenge (RFC) will be held in Goa from July 22-30. The registrations for the event have now been closed by Cougar Motorsports.
Force has retained their title sponsorship for the event, which is in its fourth iteration this year. The interesting part is the increase in the participants for this season. In all there are 40 entries making it the highest number of entries recorded for an RFC season. These include 8 teams from Hyderabad, 7 from Karnataka, and 4 from Kerala. There are 3 teams each from Chandigarh, Delhi and Goa; and 2 each from Tamil Nadu and Pune. In addition, there is one more entry from Yamunanagar.
It all began in 2014 for RFC when Cougar Motorsports decided to bring in an Indian version of the international event. Rain Forest Challenge is considered to be the most challenging and toughest off-road competitions all over. Participants from all over the country will compete for the title of RFC India 2017. The winner will get a fully sponsored entry into the 2017 RFC Grand Final in Malaysia by the end of 2017.
