The Rainforest Challenge, better known as RFC, is one of the toughest off-roading competitions held in India, at par with its global counterpart, RFC Malaysia. The RFC continues its presence in Goa and the fifth edition will be held from 21 to 28 July.
41 teams are expected to participate in this national event from over nine states. For the first time, the RFC will also see participation of teams from the north-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh with three teams travelling across the country to participate in the event.
2018 will also see the inaugural event of Rainforest Trophy, another derivative of the Rainforest Trophy, Malaysia. Unlike the stage/competition format of the RFC, the RFT will be an expedition event where the participant teams will have to manoeuvre their way through natural obstacles as they traverse through the pure forest trails.Â
The RFT will be held from 16 October to 20 October 2018 in association with the Arunachal Pradesh-based Manabhum Off-Roaders Club of Arunachal (MOCA). The RFT will not need the extreme modifications and preparation like the RFC and should make it approachable for a large number of off-roaders in the country.
