The interior of the Fiat X6H (successor to the Punto hatchback) has been spied ahead of its reveal later this year. It will slot in below the Tipo range and be offered mainly for developing markets in Asia and South America.
Images reveal that it will mimic much of the design from the Tipo but in slightly lower form to keep costs under control. We believe that this picture is a top-spec model as it paddle shifters, steering mounted audio controls, cruise control and a digital display for the trip computer. The design of the instrument cluster is typical Fiat thanks to the chrome bezels and font for the numbers. It will be a three-spoke unit giving the car with sporty overtones.
It is expected that this vehicle will mimic the Punto in terms of dimensions but with a modern design and better use of available space as compared to the current car. It will be offered with at least two petrol and one diesel engine.
It is expected to come to India once the South American debut has been made which we believe will take place later this year For obvious reasons, it will be locally produced and takes on the likes of the Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz and Maruti Suzuki Baleno in the premium B-segment.
