Italian auto manufacturer Fiat has announced their MPV variant of the 500L as they plan to expand the line of the 500 model. While the standard 500L has a five-passenger seating configuration, the new 500L Living adds a third row of seats, upping capacity to seven passengers. The world preview for the model is planned for July 2013 on the sixth anniversary of the 500 family.
The Fiat 500L Living will be equipped with two petrol engines: a 95bhp 1.4-litre and a 105bhp 0.9-litre turbo, as well as two turbo diesels: a 1.6-litre and a 1.3-litre producing 105bhp and 85bhp respectively, the latter also will be equipped with an automatic transmission.
The range includes two trim levels namely the Pop Star and the Lounge, both with 5 and 7 seat options. The model provides numerous customizing options for the buyer which includes 19 different body colours, 11 two-tone combinations and 6 interior trims being the major options. On the inside the Fiat 500L Living gets new leather interiors, an integrated navigation system and reverse camera.
The Fiat 500L Living will be produced in the new Serbian factory at Kragujevac and sales will be limited to the Italian markets with plans to extend sales progressively to other European markets. The prices and further details will be available once the car is officially unveiled.
