Who doesn't want to plan a trip to Paris? A family from India has planned to drive their Fiat Linea T-Jet model to Paris from Bangalore. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is providing full support and encouraging the family to take this expedition, which will cover more than 12 countries and 15,000 kms in a span of 99 days.
The journey would cover several countries including India, Nepal, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Switzerland (Alps), Spain and France. This will be a one of a kind expedition that will be shot as a documentary, covering all bases of planning, with valuable tips for fellow travellers, preparation details of the trip, challenges faced and the memorable times they have together as a family.
The car chosen for this thrilling drive is the Fiat Linea T-Jet, which is powered by a 1,368cc, 16-valve, T-Jet petrol mill that produces 114bhp of power and 207Nm of torque and Fiat has extended its full support en-route.
The family of five who are gearing up for the voyage includes Anand Baid, 38 a film-maker, animation professional and educator at Native Puppets; Punita Baid, 36 who is the program manager at Native Puppets; Yash Baid, 12, a grade 6 student and an avid football lover; Dhriti Baid, 8, grade 2 student, aspiring foreign language linguist, dancer and their fifth special family member - the Fiat Linea T-Jet.
