Fiat Linea T-Jet launched for Rs 7.60 lakh

Fiat has launched the T-Jet variants of the Linea for a starting price of Rs 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The T-Jet Linea is a turbo-charged performance version of the sedan developing 114PS and 207Nm of torque. It is available in all three variants with the top-end T-Jet Emotion priced at Rs 8.80 lakh.

The T-Jet variants look very similar to the standard Linea and the only bits that distinguish it from the others are the small rear spoiler and the T-Jet badging. With the turbocharging, the T-Jet returns a respectable fuel ARAI efficiency of 15.7kpl. 

The T-Jet was part of the originally Linea lineup in India, but Fiat discontinued the model last year due to drop in demand for petrol cars. The performance model is back, now that there seems to be rise in demand for petrol models with partial de-regularization go diesel. 

Fiat will launch Abarth Punto in India this September and we expect the Indian version to be powered by the same 1.4-litre turbocharged engine from the T-jet.
