Fiat has updated its official website to include the T-Jet petrol engine once again. It had previously discontinued the engine for the sedan when it launched the 2012 models. This will now be most powerful engine produced by the Italian automaker and is expected to power the Abarth Punto that will launched for the Indian market later this year.
The T-Jet mill is a turbocharged 1.4-litre engine producing 115.6PS and 207Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. The T-Jet engined Linea’s also get 16-inch alloy wheels, increased ground clearance and will be available only on the Dynamic and Emotion variants. Fiat has updated technical specifications but has not given a price for the vehicle.
