Fiat India has launched ‘Absolute’ edition of the Linea and Punto. This new edition comes with new accessories worth Rs 25,000 but is not priced extra for the same. Existing customers can also get their hands on the same but will have to pay the full amount.
The carmaker has added a ‘festive’ accessory pack to the new ‘Absolute’ edition versions of both the Linea and Punto without any extra cost. This accessory pack includes a touch-screen GPS navigator with 3G tablet and smartphone functionality, side-step garnishes with ‘Linea’ or ‘Punto’ badging in the interiors. Changes to the exterior include a new chrome strip, new mud flaps, reverse parking sensors and ‘Absolute’ badging.
These features differentiate the Absolute variant from the existing cars. The touch screen navigator offers house-level 3D maps and the 3G tablet is equipped with a 1.0 GHz processor running Android OS version 2.3. The multimedia system gets phone functionalities with the option of pairing the phone through Bluetooth. The attractive door sills and chrome bits add to the style quotient while the reverse parking sensors aid in placing the vehicle in a tight parking spot.
Fiat claims that a customer will benefit worth Rs 70,000 on buying the Linea and Rs 60,000 on buying the Punto. Apart from the free accessories the carmaker is providing free road side assistance for new cars. Existing Fiat customers can also get the accessory pack for Rs 25,000.
Nagesh Basavanhalli, president and managing director of Fiat India said, “Fiat has exhilarating plans for this festival season. To celebrate and share the festivities with our customers, the launch of the Absolute Edition offers them additional benefits at the same price. India is an important market for us and this endeavour is an important step for Fiat in that direction. We came out with this celebratory offer keeping the consumers sentiments and their needs in mind where they can avail maximum benefits at no extra cost.”
Fiat is taking abundant steps to make its comeback in India considering it to be a very large and competitive market. With the introduction of such offers on cars it plans to lure more and more prospective buyers and add to the delight of existing customers. It has already opened 90 dealerships in the country and has plans to open 100 by end of this year to be able to cater to the Indian car buyers with their line-up of cars and provide them with after sales service as well.
