Fiat has launched the Punto Pure in India at a price of Rs 4.49 lakh for the petrol variants and Rs 5.59 lakh for the diesel models (both ex-showroom Delhi). Based on the Grande Punto, the Punto Pure will Fiat’s entry level offering in the B-segment of the Indian market.
It follows the same design principle as the Grande Punto but gets some revised badging at the rear. There are 16-inch steel wheels, black ORVMs and black door handles as a part of the package. However, the bumpers are body coloured while there are rear fog lamps. It will be offered in three colours- red, black and white.
The cabin too has been carried over and has basic features like AC, 2-DIN music system and power windows. The instrument cluster includes features like digital odometer, digital trip meter and distance to empty indicator.
The Punto Pure will be offered with the 1.2-litre petrol mill producing 67bhp and 96Nm of torque as well as the 1.3-litre Multijet diesel producing 75bhp and 197Nm of torque. It is currently available for purchase at Fiat dealerships across the country.
It competes with certain variants of the Hyundai Grand i10, Maruti Suuzki Celerio and the Chevrolet6 Beat in terms of price.
