The Fiat Egea sedan has been spotted sans camouflage ahead of its official launch next month. Slotted as a replacement for the Bravo, the Egea has already gone into production at the Italian automaker’s plant in Turkey and is destined for about 40 LHD markets.
The Egea sedan measures 4.5 meters , 1.78 metres wide and with a massive 510-litre boot. It will be offered with two petrol and diesel engines whose outputs will be in the range of 95bhp to 120bhp. Transmission options are expected to include a six-speed manual as well as a six-speed AT.
It seems highly probable that for the Indian market, Fiat will display the Egea at the 2016 Auto Expo with a launch scheduled by the end of next year making us one of the first RHD markets to get the car. Their strategy for this car and the current Linea is likely to be the one which they followed when they launched the Linea Classic.
