Fiat India has delivered 455 Punto Evos in a cracker of a diwali bonus deal with a Surat-based diamond merchant Savjibhai. This is regarded as the biggest single order delivery by an automotive company in India according to a source.
The other side of the story is that 455 cars doled out as bonus gift by a company in India toits employees is the biggest act of generosity heard in recent times. The employer Savjibhai said that 1,200 employees were chosen and given a target, those who met their objectives were given gifts as per their requirement.
Sukrit Autolink, Fiat’s Surat-based placed the order for 265 Punto Evo diesel and 190, 1.2-litre petrol units with a choice of two colours – new pearl white and minimal grey.
The Punto Evo was launched on August 5, with revised styling and minor mechanical upgrades. The company on the eve of this festive season launched its Avventura crossover today. On a lighter side, we wish there were more employers like the Gujarat-based diamond merchant who went about gifting cars to their employees.
