Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) are going big for the Auto Expo in Delhi next month. Along with the Fiat beauties, you will see the sporty Abarths and the Jeeps that will be launched in India very soon.
The Fiat pavilion will include their existing line-up – the Fiat Linea, the Linea Classic, the Avventura crossover and the Fiat Punto Evo hatchback. Fiat has confirmed the presence of the Punto Pure – the original Punto with a new moniker. With the luxury hatchbacks like the Volkswagen Beetle coming back to India, we expected Fiat to get the iconic Fiat 500 back too, but to no avail. The Fiat Aegea/Egea hatchback would certainly make things interesting with the premium hatchback segment growing fast. Sadly, Fiat India has no plans to bring the Egea to India any time soon.
Fiat’s performance arm, Abarth, will also be present at the Expo. After introduction of the radical Abarth Punto and the Avventura along with the 595 Competizione, Fiat would certainly be looking forward to expanding the performance portfolio. If you are lucky, you might be able to see the Fiat Linea powered by Abarth with the 140bhp setup if not the 160bhp.
Jeep is coming to India and will certainly be present at the FCA stand. Jeep Grand Cherokee, the luxury SUV will be one of them. Jeep Wrangler, the lifestyle off-roader, will also be there. You may also get accessorised models of the Jeeps with available factory upgrades for enhanced off-roading capabilities and meaner looks.
