A picture of the upcoming Fiat 500X has been ‘officially’ leaked ahead of its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October. As we had assumed earlier, the picture reveals that the compact SUV will share much of its design with the Fiat 500L MPV but with just the overall shape and design of the alloy wheels being different from the 500L. The car was previously teased by the automaker in a video that was released last week.
The Fiat 500X will share much of its underpinnings with the Jeep Renegade compact SUV and this includes petrol engines as well as gearboxes. Outside of America, Fiat is also expected to offer diesel engines for the 500X.
The 500X is expected to be a global model for the Italian automaker but will arrive in various markets in a phased manner which means that at present we will not get the vehicle once it is officially launched.
