Fiat has released a retro limited edition tribute to another special edition Fiat 500 in the form of a Spiaggina '58 Special Series. It is a modern interpretation and celebration of the classic Fiat 500 Jolly 'Spiaggina'. Moreover, it is exactly 60 years to the since the original Spiaggina was introduceiin the summer of 1958. Let's take a look at the picture gallery of the latest version.
The latest iteration of the Fiat Spiaggina is based on the 500C, which is a convertible version of the diminutive 500, or Cinquecento. It is a retro interpretation of the original from the 50's.
A vintage Fiat logo, classic chrome and fonts have been used for the Spiaggina emblem to get the retro effect, which was the quintessential requirement here.
The carmaker has equipped the car with a set of wheels that mimic the white sidewalls of the classic models, while a special shade of azure called Volare Blue is the exterior body colour.
Inside the 500 Spiaggina '58 is again the same Volare Blue with ivory upholstery and a gray striped base. The retro effect is provided by special floor mats and a steering wheel with the same vintage Fiat emblem.
Still, it being a modern Fiat, there's a Uconnect 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.Â
The front wheel drive car comes powered by a 69bhp 1.2-litre petrol mill, as against the original Fiat 500 Jolly that was powered by a 22bhp air-cooled engine.
