- SP38 is a one-off
- based on the 488 GTB
- design inspired by classic legendary Ferrari's
If you are a multi billionaire and have been collecting Ferrari’s, chances are you will be entitled for a one-off Ferrari from the gates of Maranello. One such lucky customer was just handed over the keys to his SP38.
While it looks like no other Ferrari, it is based on the mighty 488 GTB. The fantastic design is said to be inspired from the legendary F40, particularly the flip-up carbon-fibre engine cover. The thin headlamps and slim bumper lip have taken cues from the 308 GTB.
Mechanically the car remains unchanged from the 488, which is a good thing. So the SP38 also boasts the 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 pushing out 660bhp and a massive 760Nm of torque which means the SP38 will also hit 100kmph in 3 seconds flat.
Ferrari hasn’t said much about the interiors, but it will get its own special interior trim. The general public will get to lay their eyes on this on-off beauty at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on May 26, 2018.
