Following its recent launch in Delhi, the Ferrari 488 GTB will now also go on sale via Ferrari’s official Navnit dealership in BKC, Mumbai. Ferrari had launched the supercar in Delhi for Rs 3.88 crore.
The 488 GTB is a successor of the Ferrari 458, which was highly acclaimed for its stupendous styling. In fact, instead of a new styling altogether, the appearance of the 488 is more of an evolution of the 458's design. The body shell focuses on aerodynamic efficiency and cooling; and has been designed keeping this in mind. It is designed by Ferrari's own Design Studio and sports a revised front fascia. It gets large intakes that channel air through the sculpted nose towards the side. There are side vents which help in cooling the new engine components effectively. The look is completed by revised tail lamps, a slightly redesigned air outlet and a 458 Speciale-esque rear diffuser with dual exhausts.
The Ferrari 488 GTB is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre engine that has a humongous power output of 660bhp at 8,000 rpm and 760Nm at 3,000 rpm. This is a more powerful engine than the 458 Italia's mill that produces 562bhp of power. The powerplant comes mated to an improved seven-speed double clutch gearbox that propels the 488 GTB from 0 to 100kmph sprint in just 3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 330kmph.
It is nearly a year after its world debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show that the Ferrari 488 GTB has made its entry in India. The supercar will be on sale for customers who get a wide variety of customisable options to make their car even more unique.
