While the name isn’t official, Ferrari teased a 40 second video on Facebook which looked like a 488 wearing the signature white and black striping. What was also noticeable was the 8000 rpm redline. Exteriors will also get a more aggressive aero kit to go with the increased power.Â
Talking about power, the V8 is expected to develop close to 700bhp thanks to increased boost and internal modifications. The 488 GTO will be without doubt the most hardcore road car by Ferrari and will go up against the Porsche 911 GT2 RS and the Lamborghini Huracan Performante.Â
Being race-spec, the car will be stripped off most luxuries from the interior and sound deadening from the car's engine bay; as well as fitting other lightweight parts such as thinner glass for the windscreen and side windows, and lighter ceramic brakes - like with the 458 Speciale.Â
