What's the hype with the recently unveiled Ferrari Roma you may ask? One, the coupe has been named after the Italian capital of Rome. And two, and more interestingly, the Maranello-based luxury sports carmaker has taken inspiration from the mid-front-engined grand touring machines like the 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso and the 250 GT 2+2 while building the new car. Here's its picture gallery.
Apart from new Matrix full-LED adaptive headlights in the Roma, its radiator grille is based on a fresh concept. Here cooling is guaranteed by a monolithic surface that is perforated only where necessary.
This new coupe from the Prancing Horse gets a twin taillight set-up. Then, there's a mobile rear spoiler which integrates into the rear screen when retracted.
There's the use of Ferrari's modular technology in the making of the Roma's chassis. Thanks to this, both the latest weight reduction and advanced production technologies have been incorporated.
Featuring Variable Boost Management for instantaneous throttle response, the 3.9-litre, V8 turbo engine produces 620bhp and 760Nm of torque, and comes mated to an eight-speed F1 dual-clutch gearbox.
What's more, the cabin gets a dual-cockpit concept design with a new steering wheel, 16-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8.4-inch vertical screen. A lot of Ferrari advanced driver assistance systems are a given.
