Ferrari GTC4Lusso is set to make its Indian debut tomorrow. Ferrari’s all-new grand tourer made its global premiere at the Geneva Motor Show last year. Like the FF, which it replaces, the GTC4Lusso is a three-door, four seater, shooting-brake with the all-wheel drivetrain, and is powered by a front-mid mounted engine.
Powering the GTC4Lusso is the glorious 6.2-litre V12 breathing out 680bhp. All that mad power is channelled to all four corners via the FF’s improved version of the dual-gearbox transmission. The GTC4Lusso boasts of 4RM-S which is Ferrari’s newly developed four-wheel drive, four-wheel steering system. The grand tourer can accelerate to 100kmph in mere 3.4 seconds and tops out at 335kmph.
On the outside, the GTC4Lusso looks a lot more aggressive compared to the older FF. The lower front grille harks back at the 612 Scaglietti while the headlamps are more modern with a touch of 458 Italia’s signature. The new aerodynamics have improved the drag coefficient while there are muscular body extensions. The Shooting Brake roofline merges wells with the tailgate. The dramatic quad tail lamps and exhaust tips complement the rear diffuser while the overall posterior is complete with all the right bulges that only an Italian car can pull off so beautifully.
The interior is pretty much what one would expect from the Italian grand tourer. Wrapped in all-leather, the plush interior is functional. The Ferrari steering wheel is present, with a large touchscreen in the centre of the dashboard. Even the co-driver gets an exclusive instrument screen embedding the speed, rpm and gear-indicator. And with Ferrari offering personalisation options, the GTC4 can be configured to personal taste.
Pricing for the Ferrari GTC4Lusso in India is expected to be in excess of Rs 4 Crore. The Italian GT will lock horns with other expensive GTs on sale in the country like the Aston Martin DB11 or the Bentley Continental GT.
