Ferrari, the Italian sportscar marque, has issued a recall for the 2016 Ferrari California T in North America. The issue affects the fuel line which may lead to fuel leak and subsequent risk of fire.
This issue affects Ferrari California T cars built between September 8 and November 11, 2015 where the low pressure fuel line may not connect properly to the fuel pump feed pipe. It may result in fuel leak inside the engine bay. Owing to the inflammable nature of the high octane fuel used in these cars, it increases the chances of the car catching fire.
Ferrari North America has issued the recall where the owners have been notified and the low pressure fuel line assembly will be replaced by dealers free of cost. While it has to be seen if any cars in India have been affected by this issue, California T owners can contact the Delhi and the Mumbai Ferrari dealerships for further clarity on the issue.
The Ferrari California T is a convertible tourer from the Ferrari stable and is powered by a naturally aspirated V8 petrol engine that develops 553bhp of power and 755Nm of torque. The super luxury sport car gets a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.
