Ferrari is holding an online auction to raise funds for the people affected by the quake that hit Italy in May. The quake has left at least 23 dead and over 20,000 homeless.
Among the items up for auction are a specially-built 599XX Evo track car, with a reserve price of approximately Rs 94 lakh (that's before taxes and duties in India) and the winner will be handed the keys to the car at the Monza Grand Prix in September by Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso, current Formula 1 drivers for the Scuderia. There are also rare items from the world of Formula One, including a 2008 V8 engine (reserve price Rs 35 lakh), an original nose cone from the F60 racecar, suits, gloves and helmets autographed by Massa and Alonso, and a full suit from Giancarlo Fisichella as well.
If your pockets aren't very deep but you still want to contribute, you can also purchase Scuderia watches at www.ferraristore.com. The auction, should you be interested, will end on June 20.
