A couple of months ago, Ferrari officially launched the 812 Superfast in India. This is the carmaker's brand new V12 powered GT that replaces the F12 Berlinetta, which was quite popular with Ferrari customers here. We are sure the new one will also amaze them even if it comes with a hefty price tag of Rs 5.20 crore (ex-showroom). Why? This picture gallery will explain.
A naturally aspirated V12 engine produces 789bhp of humongous power and 718Nm of torque sent to the rear wheels. Top speed is a thumping 340kmph!
Typical characteristics of almost every front engine V12 powered Ferraris are seen on this Superfast. There's a long and swooping bonnet, a short stubby boot and a rear set cabin.
The headlamps get a set of slits to cool the engine and also elevate its style. At the back, the Superfast features an almost fighter jet inspired quad tail pipe and quad exhaust set-up.
'Side Slip Control' is a new feature that helps control how sideways one wants to go through corners with the help of active and clever electronics. Another highlight is the rear wheel steering.
