Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) India has opened three Destination stores in India today. Mumbai gets its first FCA Destination store, while New Delhi and Chennai get Jeep Destination stores.
The carmaker's first FCA Destination store has been inaugurated in Worli, Mumbai today. This outlet will cater to Jeep, Fiat and Abarth customers as well. Landmark Lifestyle Cars Pvt. Ltd. in South Mumbai has been appointed to sell Fiat, Abarth and Jeep cars from the same facility. The showroom in Worli has a display area of 8,500 sq. ft. and a workshop of 12,035 sq. ft. is being set up at Andheri to take care of the after-sales service needs for all the three brands.
The Jeep Destination Store in Chennai is set up at Perungudi area on Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) under the partnership of RDC Automobile Pvt. Ltd. FCA describes it as their largest ‘self-contained’ Jeep Brand 3S facility yet. It spreads across 17,700 sq. ft. and also houses a service centre as well. On the other hand, FCA has partnered with the Landmark Group for its sales and service outlets in New Delhi. A showroom of 11,700 sq. ft. is located at Mathura Road and a 12,000 sq. ft. workshop is situated at Moti Nagar. FCA had already opened such a store in Ahmedabad, Gujarat in September this year.
Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, FCA India, said, "We intend to provide our customers with a sales and service experience as a cohesive process, one that will demonstrate our commitment that will make FCA’s existing and future customer base feel very special indeed. Our premium Destination Stores set the benchmark and reflect our new strategy and intent.”
FCA's retail strategy shows that they are focusing on after-sales services in India. Their ‘Cohesive’ Network Strategy to open new showrooms and workshops will definitely be welcomed by discerning customers across India who have difficulties in servicing their car. In addition, the carmaker is planning to launch a new product experience 'Camp Jeep' in India, apart from launching the localised Jeep Compass by mid-2017.
