The facelifted (Maruti) Suzuki Ertiga MPV has been launched in Indonesia. Maruti ships the Ertiga as a CKD to Indonesia where it is assembled at the Japanese automakers plant in Bekasi and has been quite good seller. The 2013 model has got some minor cosmetic changes both inside and outside.
Suzuki has revised the front grille which now gets a three horizontal chrome bars instead of the mesh grille that was there on the previous model. Inside, there are now twin blowers for the second and third row but only on the GL and GX variant which are the equivalent of our VXi and ZXi variants.
Despite reports suggesting that Suzuki dealers in Indonesia had been pushing for the Japanese automaker to introduce an automatic variant of the MPV, it has not materialised and is likely to happen only with the next generation model.
The facelifted Ertiga costs 160.8 million Rupiah (Rs.8.99 lakh) for the GL variant and 172.8 million Rupiah (Rs. 9.71 lakh) for the GX variant. Maruti Suzuki is currently on a spree to facelift all its models and it is almost certain that the Ertiga will join that list.
