A facelifted version of the Rolls-Royce Ghost (MY 2014) has been spotted testing in Europe by the team at Autoblog. The report suggest that the car has got mostly cosmetic changes of which many cues have been taken from the Wraith Coupe that was unveiled during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
In front, the facelifted Ghost gets full a set of fully refreshed LED lights including the indicators, this is similar to ones found on the Wraith. Autoblog also says that the car has a certain amount of body coloured camouflage as certain components like the strip of LED lights under the headlights and details of the air intake have been hidden. Other changes include restyled OVRMs and some aero dynamic tweaks.
The rear end and the sides stay similar to the design philosophy of the Wraith and feature a roof lines that slopes the same way but does not seem to be sporting any kind of exhaust pipe. The car that has been spotted here is most likely the long wheelbase version that will surely make its way to the Indian market once the car is launched.
It is likely that the underpinnings and the engine line up will all remain the same as the current model; a 6.6-litre V12 mill that produces 570bhp and 780Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.
It is likely that the car will make a debut in September at the 2013 Paris Motor Show in both wheelbases. Given that the great RR is owned by BMW, we might see this model debut its own version of the German automaker’s Eco Pro technology.
