Fiat has said that the Punto will get a facelift next year. It will join the India-bound 2013 Linea as the Italian automaker’s offerings for the sub-continent next year. They have also announced a new compact SUV for 2014 and we believe that this will be the 500X.
It plans to establish 112 dealers in 126 cities as a part of its expansion plans. This plan also includes 39 service stations and financial services of which the latter is expected to begin operations in April 2013. Fiat hopes to eventually increase its market share from the current 0.5 per cent to five per cent.
Fiat has also announced that its range of performance-oriented Abarth models will also be launched in the sub-continent but did not specify a date.
