The interior of the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Swift have been revealed along with its probable prices . The pictures reveal a similar layout to the current model but with additional features on the mid-spec and top-end variants. The probable prices reveal that there will be a new variant as well as an increase of Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000 across all variants except the base petrol.
The mid-level VXi and VDi variants get electrically adjustable OVRMs, 2-DIN music system with speed sensing mechanism. External changes include a revised wheelcap design, ABS and metal strips near the fog lamps to add to the premium appeal.
The top-spec variants Zxi and ZDi variants in addition to the features of the mid-level variants get ESP (first time for the car), push-button start, cruise control and Bluetooth connectivity. External changes include revised design for the alloy wheels and reverse parking sensors. We don’t have details on what features the Lxi (o) variant will have over the standard Lxi but expect that this will be down to something small like power windows.
On the engine front, the Swift will continue with the 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.3-litre diesel both of which are mated to a five-speed manual. Suzuki is also expected to offer an AT for the Swift by the middle of next year.
