A facelifted version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV has been spotted testing. Believed to be the 2015 model of the popular van from the Indo-Japanese automaker, it is expected to get a whole host of comestic updates but will remain mechanically the same as the current model.
What appears to be new on this model is a revised two slat grille in place of the currrent car's four-slat grille. The new grille means that the air intake too gets slightly modified and will give the car a slightly different appearance from the current model. Also visible in the package are electrically folding OVRMs which we believe will be offered in the VDI/Vxi and Zdi/Zxi variants.
We believe that there may be at least one '+' variant which have a feature list versy similar to that of the Ciaz sedan. On the engine front, it is expected to continue with the 1.4-litre petrol engine and the 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The current model is priced in the range of Rs 5.8-lakh to Rs 8.49 lakh which means the new car with the added features is likely to cost Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 more than the equivalent variants of the current vehicle.
