Yesterday, Maruti Suzuki launched the facelifted Baleno range in India. There are 11 variants with prices in the range of Rs 5.45 lakhs to Rs 8.77 lakhs. Now, the automaker has revealed the Baleno RS with bookings already underway.
As expected, this facelifted Baleno RS gets the same interior and exterior updates as the top-of-the-line Alpha variant. This includes the new bumper, LED projector headlamps, Smartplay infotainment system and most likely, the all blue interiors.
Putting the RS in Baleno RS is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 100bhp/150Nm and is mated to a five-speed manual sending power to the front wheels.  Â
We expect a minimal change in price for the Baleno RS and a launch within the next two months. The Baleno RS is a rival to the likes of the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI as well as the Fiat Punto Abarth.
