> Jaguar doesn't seem to have changed much on the XE's exteriors, but the extensive camouflage continues
> New look for the projector headlamps, tweaks to the front bumper and sneak peek of the cabin
Here are shots of the upcoming facelifted Jaguar XE being tested. Considering the thoroughly disguised nature of the prototype, we thought that it might be concealing a tonne of details.
But a closer look tells us otherwise. The design appears quite similar and there aren’t any significant updates. Of course, we did notice the revised air dams at either ends of the nose which now look smaller since there’s a new slat running through. Plus, it even appears as though designers tinkered with the headlamps, and it surely has new internals.
It is the same story at the rear since the tail lamps now sport revised graphics. Also, the rear bumper design may not be the final one since the lower portion has cut-outs on both sides despite the twin-exhausts only popping out on one end.
Sadly though, the interior shot doesn’t really reveal much since the laptop comes in the way. On a different note, Jaguar is expected to soldier-on with the current crop of engines, possibly with a revised state of tune.
Although there’s no confirmation about when the updated XE will be introduced, it shouldn’t take long to surface in this market given the current state of the prototype. Stay tuned for the details.
