Fiat India has been testing the facelifted version of the Punto for quite some time now. The car has already been caught on camera undergoing trials around Fiat’s production facility in Pune, only this time the spy images also give us a peek into the upcoming model’s interiors.
Like the facelifted Linea shown at the 2014 Auto Expo, the new Punto also benefits from a comprehensively updated interior; the whole dashboard is all-new and so is the instrument cluster. The combination of impressive new design and improved quality is sure to attract more buyers.
Under the hood, however, the new Punto will be offered with the same set of petrol and diesel engine options. The car will continue to use Fiat’s acclaimed 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine in two different state of tunes – 75PS and 90PS. As for the petrol version, the 2014 model will come powered by either a 1.2-litre engine producing 68bhp or the more powerful 1.4-lite unit with 90bhp.
