A facelifted version of the Dacia (Renault in India) Duster has been spied testing in Spain by the team at Autoevolution. The car features major exterior changes both to the back and front but retains the same overall design. The report suggests that the facelifted Duster will make its debut at the Paris Motor Show in September.
The exterior changes to the Duster include revised headlights and tail lights, grille, bumpers. It is believed that inside, the facelifted Duster will get most of the upgrades that were shown on the 2013 Dacia Logan sedan. A slightly revised version was spotted testing in Romania three months ago and featured a revised instrument cluster and cruise control.
The engine line up and underpinnings is expected to remain the same as the current model – 1.6-litre petrol and the 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine. While the former produces 102PS and 145Nm of torque, the diesel is available in two power outputs 85PS and 110PS. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
We are sure to get this model as soon as it is launched due to the Duster being a popular seller for the French automaker here as well as the fact that all RHD variants of the vehicle are manufactured at Renault’s Chennai plant. It is also possible that Renault might move only the 110PS mill to this vehicle and retain the 85PS engine in the current car to provide a wider range of vehicles.
