The facelifted Hyundai i20 has been spied in Germany and it clearly has a new grille design – quite visible as it is pushing up against the camouflage tarp.
The old hexagonal look has edges down the sides, much like the Korean firm did on the i30 and the 2018 Sonata but the main difference is in the placement. Looking elsewhere, it appears that the i20 has refreshed fog lights integrated into a cleaner bumper design, as well as what is likely to be LED projectors with a swept back design.
Around the back, it's obvious that the graphics have been made to look crisper, but the overall shape of the taillight is the same. The number plate has been moved to the boot lid, making room for a decorative trim piece on the bumper to make it look more upmarket.
Although everything is well laid out in an almost Germanic manner, the i20's interior doesn't have the same sense of style. Revisions should therefore include a more colourful seat pattern and black plastic trim being added to the dash. We suspect the facelifted i20 to be launched at the next Geneva Motor Show, going on sale around the middle of 2018.
