The upcoming MG luxury SUV that will be launched in India in H2 of 2019 will sport a 360 degree camera setup. It will be the first car in the segment to offer this package and is expected to be one of the standout features for the vehicle when it is launched.
The setup is expected to comprise of cameras in the grille, ORVMs above the rear number plate as well as parking sensors both in the front and rear. Working together, these will provide a 360 degree view to the driver. The image will be beamed on to a touchscreen system that will have a floating display.
This new MG SUV will be a premium vehicle that will take on the likes of the Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson as well as future SUVs from Kia, Skoda and possibly Volkswagen too. The car was spotted testing in and around various parts of Gujarat over the last few months and bears all the hallmarks of the MG design philosophy.
