- India-spec MG ZS EV safety features will be same as UK-spec model
- The car will be European safety standard compliant
Ahead of its debut that is scheduled to take place next month, the safety features of the MG ZS EV have been revealed by the company. MG will retain the safety features on the ZS EV as seen on the model that is retailed in the U.K, which is compliant with European safety standards.
Safety features on the upcoming MG ZS EV will include a safety cage for the EV battery, six airbags, rear passenger seat belt reminder, pedestrian alert system, Hill Descent Control (HDC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), ABS, ESP and Isofix child seat anchorages.
The MG ZS EV is a fully electric SUV based on the standard ZS model, with a pure electric powertrain. The ZS EV will be the second product to be launched by MG in India following the launch of its first product, the Hector. To be assembled in India at the company’s plant located in Halol, Gujarat; the only rival to the ZS EV will be the HyundaiKona Electric.
