Maruti Suzuki is set to expand the Baleno range in India soon. We can now independently confirm that the carmaker will launch a new variant in the CNG range. To be classified as the Baleno Alpha CNG 1.2L 5MT, prices of this offering are expected to be announced in the coming days.
The Baleno CNG is currently available only in two variants, namely Delta and Zeta. These iterations are powered by a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, NA petrol engine producing 88bhp and 113Nm of torque. In CNG mode, the output is reduced to 76bhp and 98Nm of torque. A five-speed manual unit is the sole transmission on offer.
In terms of features, the new Baleno CNG variant is expected to come equipped with UV-cut glass, diamond-cut alloy wheels, HUD, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM, auto-folding ORVMs, nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 360-degree camera over the Zeta variant.
