Mahindra Scorpio facelift had been spotted on test earlier this year. The wait for the facelift model of Mahindra’s popular selling SUV is not too far as we believe that the company will be launching the new model sometime by mid-November this year. Changes will be limited to cosmetic upgrades while mechanically it will continue to be powered by the existing engine options.
The camouflaged Scorpio facelift indicated that the new model might get redesigned headlamps, new grille, reworked tail lamp unit and subtle changes on the rear door. This time around, the Indian utility car manufacturer is expected to offer the latest seven-inch infotainment system with Android Auto, Car Play as well as Mahindra developed Eco Sense smartphone applications. However, this might be limited to the top-spec variant only.
On the pricing front, the new Scorpio is expected to be priced similar to the current generation model. However, it is to be seen if Mahindra will skip the mild-hybrid technology this time around as it now attracts higher taxes under revised norms. More details about the new Mahindra Scorpio will be known in the days to come.
