- Updated Kia MPVs have already been spotted testing
- Will also launch the EV6 facelift soon
Kia India has officially confirmed its plans for updates to the Carens MPV range. The model will receive two significant updates in the coming months, and here’s all you need to know about them.
The first update to arrive for the Carens will be the facelift, and it will take place in the second half of the current calendar year. This will be followed by the electrified version of the MPV, although a timeline for the same has not been defined.
Spotted testing in India on multiple occasions, the Kia Carens facelift will get a revised exterior design that will include new front and rear bumpers, new lighting equipment on both sides, and a fresh set of alloy wheels. There will be an updated feature list too, details of which remain unknown at the moment.
Coming to the Carens EV, the model is expected to share its powertrain with the recently launched Hyundai Creta Electric. This means that the model could be offered with 51.4kWh and 42kWh battery packs. That said, there could be minor revisions in the range for both versions. Meanwhile, Kia will soon introduce the EV6 facelift, details of which can be found on our website.
