It was just yesterday that we shared spy images of the face-lifted Mercedes-Benz E Class Coupe being tested. Now, our spy photographers just spotted the face-lifted E Class sedan being tested in Germany.
Since this is a mid-cycle refresh for the E Class, the exterior updates may be limited to restyled head/tail lamps, tweaked bumpers and maybe even a mildly reshaped grille. But unlike the previously spied E-Class All-Terrain and Coupe that had the production-spec LED tail lamps, this is an early prototype which uses some sort of makeshift tail lamps.
Nevertheless, at the front, the LED head lamps are similar to those seen on the earlier spotted All-Terrain and Coupe prototypes, which also have the familiar ‘eye brow’ styled turn-indicators. Besides that, some black panels have been slapped-on to the front bumper in a bid to mask the true design lines underneath.
Additionally, as Mercedes-Benz’ E Class was not featured in the company’s product roadmap for 2019, it looks like the face-lifted E Class sedan will only hit showrooms in the year 2020. Stay tuned to CarWale for more information in the days to come.
