The bookings of the Eon started on the 1st of October and Hyundai has started to deliver the Eon to the dealers. So far the company has delivered 7188 units of the Eon to its various dealerships across the country. You can book an Eon for Rs 25,000 approximately and the deliveries will commence once the hatchback is launched on the 13th of October.
The Eon will be powered by a three-pot 800cc engine and will be available in three trim levels: Base, GL and GLS. Our sources confirm that automatic version of the Eon could be a future option, but at present there are no such plans. The Hyundai Eon will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Alto and Chevrolet Spark and will be priced similarly at about Rs 3lakh. One of our avid readers Bijoy BS spotted the Hyundai Eon in Kerala.
