The electrified version of the BMW X3, officially called the iX3, was spied undergoing winter testing in the international market. The company claims to offer high-capacity batteries that will provide a driving range of 250 miles (402kms) and quick charging time of less than 30 minutes at a DC fast charging station.Â
In terms of design, the upcoming BMW iX3 will get a redesigned kidney grille that reduces air resistance and light alloy wheels that have been aerodynamically optimized. Like the concept, the production version is also likely to get iBlue accents around the kidney grille and rear diffuser. The upcoming model will get the fifth generation technology that will integrate electric motor, transmission and power electronics into a single component.Â
The BMW iX3 will get all the standard safety equipment as seen on the standard X3 SUV. More details on the BMW iX3 will be known in the days to come.
