The total count of Eicher Trucks and Buses sold in the month of June 2010 was 2966 units.
The sale in June 2010 is 43% higher than the sales of Eicher Trucks and Buses in June 2009. Eicher Trucks and Buses have recorded a growth of 54% in the domestic CV market (5T & above) in June 2010 as compared to June 2009.
The sales growth is across all product segments of Eicher Trucks and Buses. The VE Series of fuel-efficient heavy-duty (HD) Eicher trucks continue to garner improving responses from customers and have recorded a YoY growth of 248% (outpacing the CV industry’s growth rate), thereby increasing market share. Exports at 220 units were slightly lower than those in June 2009. However, the pipeline of orders remains strong.
To partly offset the increase in input cost and inflationary pressure, Eicher Trucks and Buses has announced an increase in prices of their vehicles effective from July 2010. Eicher-branded commercial vehicles deliver high fuel efficiency and better operating economics and these product-related attributes will help the owners of Eicher Trucks and Buses improve their profitability in times of rising fuel costs.
