Eicher Polaris Pvt. Ltd. has introduced ‘Multix’, a utility vehicle that will currently be sold in the state of Odisha, and priced at Rs 3.43 lakh (ex-showroom Bhubaneshwar).
Available in two variants called AX+ and MX, it will be powered by a diesel engine that offers a fuel efficiency of 27kmpl. The company stated that this utility vehicle has undergone extensive testing for off-road reliability, safety and durability. Designed for families, businesses and also to cater to the power generation needs of a consumer, this five-seater can swallow 1918litres of luggage too.
A ‘Pro Ride’ independent suspension system claims to deliver a superior ride on all kinds of roads, and the tubular frame structure and roll-over protection system (ROPS) provides better structural stability. However, the most eye-catching feature will be the power takeaway feature which lets consumers extract up to 3kW from this vehicle. This means that the power generated can be used to light homes, and also power professional equipment such as drilling machines, water pumps etc.
Eicher Polaris Pvt. Ltd. is a 50:50 joint venture between Eicher Motors Ltd and Polaris Industries Inc, and expects to start operations out of four dealerships that are located in Bhubaneshwar, Cuttak, Sambalpur and Berhampur.
