While other car manufacturers are busy building up an entirely new fleet of electric vehicles, Hyundai does things a little different. The Korean carmaker is looking to electrify their existing fleet by replacing petrol engines with electric motors.
The latest shots from our spy photographers up north seem to prove that. Coming off a frozen lake used as a mirror-flat test track, they shot this ultra-silent all-electric Hyundai Elantra. Closer inspection of the images reveals there are no exhaust pipes mounted – and of course the prototype comes with wheels Hyundai uses for other electric models, too.
There’s no word on the Internet, let alone from Hyundai, on the existence of this car, so it’s impossible at this stage to tell anything about power or pricing. Nonetheless we assume to see the Elantra EV in production form by next year.
