The Duster based compact SUV from Nissan will be in launched by October 2013 reports Overdrive. The Japanese automaker had confirmed at the end of October that it would launch a rebadged version of the Duster (codenamed NH79).They also hinted that the ‘new’ vehicle will get major cosmetic tweaks both to the inside and outside, but will remain the same underneath.
The NH79 will slot in below the Renault Duster due to the Renault-Nissan hierarchy. The compact SUV is also likely to fare better than its French sibling as it will be cheaper and the fact that Nissan has better presence in the country.
If the Duster gets a facelift by October 2013, then we can expect that Nissan clone will arrive in the facelifted form too. Also, Nissan might introduce a 4x4 and automatic variants (the Duster already has them in Europe) for the NH79 when it is launched.
