The Toyota Etios Liva had received a facelift late last year and the Japanese car maker has launched another new version of the hatchback. The Liva now gets a dual tone paint scheme along with both exterior and interior tweaks and starts at a price tag of Rs 5.94 lakh, ex-showroom, Mumbai. The dual-tone paint scheme is being offered only on the top V and VX trims.
Along with the new paint scheme, the Liva the front grille has undergone the all-black treatment. The bumper gets carbon-fibre finish appliques and chrome bezels for the fog lamps. The roof, mirror and the new rear spoiler get the all-black treatment along with the A, B and C pillars. The dual-tone Liva is offered in three hues – blue, red and white and gets new diamond cut alloys as well.
On the inside, it continues to get the dual-tone theme in black and beige. While the dashboard design has been carried over, the centre console gets piano black finish. The instrument console has been tweaked and the Etios Liva now gets electrically foldable wing mirrors. The rear headrests are now detachable and it gets three-point seatbelts for all the occupants. With added focus on safety, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX mounts for child seats are standard. It gets all-four power windows, power steering and manual AC.
Under the hood, you have the 1.2-litre four cylinder petrol engine developing 79bhp of power mated to a five-speed gearbox. The 67bhp 1.4-litre diesel engine also comes with a five-speed manual that drives the front wheels. Available in two trims, the Etios Liva dual-tone V petrol is priced at Rs 5.94 lakh while the VX is priced at Rs 6.44 lakh. The diesel V gets a price tag of Rs 7.24 lakh and the VX is offered at Rs 7.61 lakh, ex-showroom, Mumbai.
The Etios Liva competes with the Hyundai Grand i10, the Maruti Suzuki Swift, the Tata Bolt and the Ford Figo in the Indian car market.
